Big Delta Bucket-Mouth

Already the middle of December and I finally got out to the Delta for stripers for the first time this season – pathetic I know.

Jeff joined me and the conditions were ideal for this time of year, with decent tides, overcast skies, little to no wind…

…and most importantly, cooperative fish.

We didn’t find any big double-digit moes, but we got into enough schoolie stripers up to 6 pounds to keep us on our toes.

Even Scored a Double!

Though the “double” was awesome, I’d say the highlight of the day had to be a big fat toad of a black bass I nailed at the end…

How’s that for a TOAD

It was a fun day as always, and left us asking ourselves why we’d waited so long to finally get out there this year.
